Head Coach:  Kyle Steitz
Kyle has been coaching swimming for over 10 years. His first two years were spent learning the ropes as an assistant coach for the club team in Steamboat Springs where he was born and raised. After two years of attending Montana State University on a Nordic ski scholarship, he transferred to CSU where he became a student-athlete/ swim coach on the Triathlon team. Kyle became the head coach of the Willow Springs Swim Team in 2011. He helped grow the team from around 25 kids his first year to over 60 swimmers. During this span, his team won the Colorado State Summer Club DIII Championship in 2016 and finished as the runner-up that last three consecutive years at the Horsetooth City Meet. Above results and awards however, Kyle’s coaching philosophy and focus is on creating a safe, fun, family culture where kids develop a life-long passion for the sport of swimming.
